Web Sites and Social Media
-
The Washington Elementary School District strives to improve communication with parents, students, staff and the community by maintaining an updated Web presence on its District, school and teacher Web pages. Additionally, the WESD supports the use of online social media to facilitate District programs, departments and school sites in building a more successful parent, community, student and employee network.
The WESD has established guidelines for the all Web sites - District and department pages, school pages and teacher Web pages - as well as guidelines for the creation and use of social media pages such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. While individuals in schools and departments are ultimately responsible for the content of these sites, the Communications and Public Engagement Department must have access to all pages and has the authority to suspend or delete pages, if necessary. Please review the guidelines below when creating new sites. For information or training, please contact 602-347-2694.
