About John Jacobs

John Jacobs Elementary School provides an effective elementary education to prepare young students for middle school. Our teachers are responsible for the delivery of the core academic curriculum. All students receive classes in vocal music, art and physical education. Certified special education teachers meet the special learning needs of students who qualify for special services: gifted education, speech, learning disabled and English Language Learners.

Governing Board Approves Resolution Recognizing and Affirming LGBTQ+ Students and Staff
The Washington Elementary School District (the WESD) is committed to a learning environment that is physically, socially and emotionally safe for all students. As a part of this commitment, the WESD affirms, supports and values all students and staff and will continue to further efforts in our schools to create a welcoming, safe and inclusive learning environment for our transgender, non-binary and all LGBTQ+ students and staff.
