About Sunnyslope

Sunnyslope School serves over 800 prekindergarten through eighth grade children in the Sunnyslope and North Mountain neighborhoods. Sunnyslope provides students a rich curriculum aligned to Arizona College and Career Ready Standards. Sunnyslope School was built in 2008 and offers new, updated facilities, library, cafeteria, classrooms and gymnasium.

Governing Board Approves Resolution Recognizing and Affirming LGBTQ+ Students and Staff
The Washington Elementary School District (the WESD) is committed to a learning environment that is physically, socially and emotionally safe for all students. As a part of this commitment, the WESD affirms, supports and values all students and staff and will continue to further efforts in our schools to create a welcoming, safe and inclusive learning environment for our transgender, non-binary and all LGBTQ+ students and staff.
