WESD is in the process of reviewing and adopting English Language Arts (ELA) materials to support teachers with instruction in reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary to enhance student achievement. Teachers, staff, families and community members are invited to view the variety of materials on display at the WESD Administrative Center and to provide input.
Alyssa Weed, music teacher at Acacia Elementary School and Lindsey Peterson, WESD Governing Board Member, have been selected as a Top 10 finalists for the Arizona Educational Foundation Teacher of the Year Award.
