The Safety Division completes assessments at every Washington Elementary School District site on a yearly basis. These assessments are used to make recommendations for repairs and improvements. The Safety Division conducts training for all of the District crossing guards and completes assessments of playground equipment using standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The Safety Division conducts site evaluations with the Fire Marshal's Office, ensuring that all District sites are within compliance.
