Assistant Principal's Message

  • Hello Mustang Families!

My name is Aimee Wojciechowski and I am proud to be the Assistant Principal for Manzanita Elementary. I am excited to help students, staff, and families L.E.A.D. and develop skills to be successful both inside and outside of school.

I started my journey in education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. After graduation, I moved to Arizona to work in the Deer Valley Unified School District where I taught 4th and 6th grade. Through my roles on campus, I learned that school leadership and improvement were my passion and I began my Masters in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. I joined the WESD family as the Instructional Coach for Sahuaro Elementary where I worked for two years before coming to Manzanita. I am bringing a love of developing school climate and culture and a high belief that all students can learn.

I am looking forward to working with you and your students this year to develop the young LEADers in our community! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions you have, ways I can better serve you and your student, or just to chat and get to know me.

    Hello Manzanita!

My name is Robert Schumacher and I am ecstatic to be your Assistant Principal for the 2021-22 school year. My family revolves around education as both my wife and I are educators here in Arizona. I started my educational journey at Michigan State University (Go Green) where I received my Bachelors in Special Education. After receiving my degree, I moved to Gilbert, Arizona where I began my teaching career in special education. Since then, I ended up getting my masters degree in Educational Administration and am currently starting this new journey with the Washington Elementary School District.

Activities I enjoy during my free time are hiking, camping, and enjoying life in the outdoors. Furthermore, I am a real sucker for sports at both the professional and collegiate level(football, hockey, baseball) and I enjoy the game of golf, even though I still haven’t found out how to play it well. I enjoy coaching and love seeing students succeed as they work as a team.

I am extremely fortunate to have this opportunity to play a critical part in the development of your child's life. I look forward to advocating, supporting, and ensuring the proper individualized education that every child deserves. I can’t wait to get this year rolling and I am looking forward to working with the Manzanita community for the 2021-2022 school year!

    Go Mustangs!
