About Tumbleweed

Tumbleweed Elementary School is a preschool through sixth grade public school nestled on approximately 17 acres of land between Cactus Road and Peoria Avenue on 39th Ave. We have amazing academic programs and activities to meet the needs of our students and community. Tumbleweed's curriculum is fully aligned with State Standards. Tumbleweed provides intervention, gifted services, Art, Music, and PE for all grade levels.

WESD Introduces It's Newest School - the Online Learning Academy!
The WESD is pleased to announce the opening of it's new online school - the Online Learning Academy (OLA). The OLA is supported by a dedicated school administrator, 13 highly qualified teachers (including special education and language services), and an office specialist. With capacity to serve 290 students, the school offers a full-day, fully synchronous (live teacher) educational opportunity for K-8 students.

Free Breakfast, Lunch for Children this Summer
The WESD is proud to participate in the 2022 Summer Food Service Program for Children. Free breakfast and lunch are available to ALL children 18 years of age and under at multiple WESD locations.
