About Sunburst

Sunburst Elementary School provides an effective elementary education in a planned environment dedicated to a systematic approach to learning. Sunburst School's curriculum is fully aligned with State Standards. Sunburst provides art, music, PE and Link Lab for all grade levels.
We believe that staff, students, parents and community members have an impact on student achievement (academically, socially, and emotionally). We love active participation from our Sunburst Community.

Governing Board Approves Resolution Recognizing and Affirming LGBTQ+ Students and Staff
The Washington Elementary School District (the WESD) is committed to a learning environment that is physically, socially and emotionally safe for all students. As a part of this commitment, the WESD affirms, supports and values all students and staff and will continue to further efforts in our schools to create a welcoming, safe and inclusive learning environment for our transgender, non-binary and all LGBTQ+ students and staff.
