Principal's Message

  • Dear Lookout Mountain Elementary Families,

Welcome back to a brand-new school year at Lookout Mountain Elementary School! I am thrilled to greet our returning Lions and extend a special welcome to our new students and families. This year, our theme is Together in Pride, and it captures the spirit of our school community beautifully—united, supportive, and committed to excellence.

    High Standards & Academic Excellence
At Lookout Mountain, we hold ourselves and our students to the highest academic expectations. Our dedicated staff uses data-driven instruction and proven programs such as Iready and Benchmark. With a Chromebook for every student, daily science and STEAM integration, and a robust Social Studies inquiry model, our students engage deeply in academic exploration.

    Safe & Nurturing Environment
Student safety and emotional well-being are at the heart of what we do. Our Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) system promotes a campus culture where respect, responsibility, and community thrive. We launched PBIS with great success ten years ago, creating a consistently positive environment that lets students focus on learning in a safe, supportive setting. Our staff models the same values and greets students warmly each morning, creating an atmosphere where every child feels known, safe, and empowered.

    School Rating & Recognition
I’m proud to share that Lookout Mountain has earned an A-rated standing within our state. Our commitment to academic excellence, student engagement, and a flourishing school culture has resulted in this outstanding rating. It reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, families, and staff.
