The WESD is pleased to announce the opening of its new online school - the Online Learning Academy (OLA). The OLA is supported by a dedicated school administrator, six highly qualified teachers (including special education and language services), and an office specialist. The school offers a full-day, fully synchronous (live teacher) educational opportunity for 3 -8 students.

At the OLA, we are proud to offer:

• A Chromebook for each child;
• New family orientation;    
• Digital citizenship awareness;  
• Student safety monitoring using Go Guardian and Gaggle; and  
• Quarterly in-person student activities/family events. 

The mission of the Online Learning Academy is to provide an engaging and individualized learning format where students are encouraged to critically think, problem solve, and utilize 21st century skills.
