Chaparral Elementary School received a special honor at the Governing Board meeting on April 14^th, 2022. We were recognized as a Model PLC (Professional Learning Communities) School! Model PLC schools are some of the highest-performing schools around the globe. In order to qualify as a Model PLC, a school must demonstrate a commitment to PLC at work concepts which include: a focus on learning, a focus on collaboration, and a focus on results. Schools must implement these concepts for at least three years; present clear evidence of improved student learning, and provide data on a yearly basis that shows they continue to meet the criteria of the PLC at Work process.
