Governing Board Approves Resolution Recognizing and Affirming LGBTQ+ Students and Staff
The Washington Elementary School District (the WESD) is committed to a learning environment that is physically, socially and emotionally safe for all students. As a part of this commitment, the WESD affirms, supports and values all students and staff and will continue to further efforts in our schools to create a welcoming, safe and inclusive learning environment for our transgender, non-binary and all LGBTQ+ students and staff.

WESD Introduces It's Newest School - the Online Learning Academy!
The WESD is pleased to announce the opening of it's new online school - the Online Learning Academy (OLA). The OLA is supported by a dedicated school administrator, 13 highly qualified teachers (including special education and language services), and an office specialist. With capacity to serve 290 students, the school offers a full-day, fully synchronous (live teacher) educational opportunity for K-8 students.

Bus Routes Now Available Online
Bus routes are now available online! Families will need to login using their student's ID number and date of birth. Student ID numbers are available on ParentVUE or by contacting the school office.

Alyssa Weed, music teacher at Acacia Elementary School and Lindsey Peterson, WESD Governing Board Member, have been selected as a Top 10 finalists for the Arizona Educational Foundation Teacher of the Year Award.

Head Start Now Enrolling
