Two WESD Principals Named Exemplary Principals by Maricopa County

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Maricopa County School Superintendent Steve Watson made a surprise announcement that TWO of our beloved WESD principals earned the Maricopa County Exemplary Principal Award. Join us in congratulating Lookout Mountain Elementary Principal Mrs. Tricia Heller-Johnson and Acacia Elementary School Principal Mrs. Christine Hollingsworth!

The Maricopa County Exemplary Principal Award is presented to school leaders who exemplify practices and leadership that contribute to improved student learning. These leaders also involve staff, parents, and community members in developing an effective school culture.
