A special congratulations to Acacia Elementary School for receiving its fourth A+ School of Excellence award from the Arizona Educational Foundation! Acacia was one of 36 schools to receive this award and is one of three schools in the state to have earned the A+ four consecutive applications cycles and the only public elementary school to achieve this honor! The A+ School of Excellence™ program identifies, celebrates, and recognizes educational excellence in PreK-12th grade schools throughout Arizona. In addition to showcasing outstanding public schools, the A+ program provides school teams with an extensive comprehensive framework that serves as a basis for school self-assessment and planning. Applicant schools are evaluated in the areas of student focus and support, school culture, active teaching and learning, curriculum, leadership, community and parent involvement and assessment data.

Acacia will celebrate this incredible distinction in May. The WESD is so proud of the Acacia team for their hard work and commitment to excellence!
