Washington Elementary School District (WESD) is proud to serve a diverse population in north-central Phoenix and east Glendale. WESD is the largest elementary school district in Arizona, comprised of 33 schools.

WESD offers special needs preschool, a Head Start program, and an Early Childhood Enrichment (ECE) program for 4-year-old students.
WESD offers free, full-day kindergarten is available at 27 locations for children who turn 5 before September 1.

WESD has 20 elementary schools and seven K-8 schools offering high academics and small class sizes. Click below to see our neighborhood and magnet schools.
WESD has seven K-8 schools and five junior high schools offering curriculum to prepare students for high school. WESD's high school district is Glendale Union.
Gifted and special education programs are offered for all students. WESD is also home to the Gifted Learning Center, the only K-6 multi-age, self-contained program in Arizona.
KidSpace is WESD's DES-approved before and after school care available at 22 locations offering care from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. as well as summer and school break camps.
