Sports That Shape Strong Futures
Within the Washington Elementary School District there are twenty K-6 Schools - Acacia, Alta Vista, Cactus Wren, Chapparal, Desert View, Ironwood, John Jacobs, Lakeview, Lookout Mountain, Manzanita, Moon Mountain, Richard E. Miller, Roadrunner, Sahuaro, Shaw Butte, Sunburst, Sunset, Tumbleweed, and Washington.
The K-6 host the following sports:
K-6 Grade Boys' and Girls' Cross Country
K-6 Grade Boys' and Girls' Track and Field - An extension of P.E.
Purpose
- To develop sports skills by maximizing participation and focusing on instruction.
- To develop the positive values of athletics, including sportsmanship, teamwork, cooperation, and competition.
- To provide as many students as possible the opportunity to participate in activities they enjoy.
