About Our School

All schools in the Washington Elementary School District are committed to achieving excellence for every child, every day, every opportunity. Richard E. Miller Elementary School's  curriculum is fully aligned with State Standards. The school provides art, music and PE for all grade levels.

Richard E. Miller Elementary School offers a wide range of services for students and parents including gifted, special education, integrated instruction and family-oriented activities. In addition, a “Buddy Program” is implemented across grade levels and enables classes throughout the school to participate in cooperative and peer-tutoring activities. We believe that it is the responsibility of the school to challenge all students to their fullest potential. At Richard E. Miller, we are also committed to working with parents to ensure that our students are not only prepared academically, but socially as well.

Our school also offers the CHOICE Magent program for students at every grade level. The CHOICE program offers Core Knowledge curiculum and promotes parent, student and teacher involvement that will foster high school readiness. The CHOICE program is a joint magnet program between Richard E. Miller and Royal Palm Middle School.
