The Arizona Department of Education has released the school letter grades for the 2024–2025 school year, and the WESD is proud to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our students and staff!

Congratulations to our 11 schools that earned an "A" letter grade: Abraham Lincoln Traditional School, Acacia Elementary School, Ironwood Elementary School, Lakeview Elementary School, Lookout Mountain Elementary School, Moon Mountain Elementary School, Online Learning Academy, Orangewood School, Royal Palm Middle School, Sunburst Elementary School and Sweetwater School! This marks an incredible 33% increase in "A" schools since the 2018–2019 school year—a true testament to our commitment to academic achievement!

In addition, 18 schools earned a "B" letter grade, reflecting strong performance across the District.

We also want to recognize our 10 schools that improved by one letter grade:

• Acacia Elementary School, Ironwood Elementary School, Lakeview Elementary School, Moon Mountain Elementary School and Online Learning Academy (all from "B" to "A"), and
• Mountain Sky Junior High School, Ocotillo Elementary School, Roadrunner Elementary School, Sunnyslope School and Tumbleweed Elementary School (all from "C" to "B").

Furthermore, 20 schools maintained their letter grade from the previous year, showing consistent achievement.

Overall, the WESD earned a District-wide "B" letter grade, and 87% of our schools are classified as excellent or highly performing! All of our remaining schools earned a "C" or "UR"* letter grade.
